The 1935 FLOOD

Joy Hayden of the National Weather Service:

“No clouds skittered across the clear skies of Northeast Colorado, Northwest Kansas and Southwest Nebraska; little or no rain fell on thirsty land — until May 30 and 31, when two huge low pressure systems, each full of moisture, collided over the tri-state area.”

May 31 2010 marks the 75th anniversary of the Republican River flood. I would like to fill this page with pictures of the flood, the people and the stories. If you have any, even just one, please contact me with them. We have one picture of the washed out river bridge and that is all. Please look and see what you can find. I would really appreciated it.
